BREAKDOWN OF SCROLLS WHEE
100%: Adds 1 of a single stat.
70%: Adds a ratio of 2/1 stats. These scrolls are cursed. While it’s more successful than 60%, when it fails it has a 50% chance of breaking your item and deleting it from your inventory forever.

COMMON POINTS OF CONFUSION ONOES
There are now 54 different kinds of scrolls in the game. There are a few that do not have 100% scrolls and a few that only come in cursed flavor, so I’ve noted those. There’s a bit of confusion between two of the shoe scrolls. One scroll adds only accuracy and avoid, yet is called the “shoe DEX scroll”, but the “jump shoe scroll” is the one that adds jump and DEX. The Japanese have two forms of “quickess”. One is “dexterity quickness”, or DEX, and one is “moving speed quickness”, or speed. Lastly, the Japanese HP and STR can both mean “health”.
QUICK LESSON IN READING JAPANESE YAYE
Here’s how to read and identify a scroll name: If you have a 100%, 60%, or 10% scroll, the first part describes what the scroll adds. If you have a 30% or 70% scroll, the first part will say “呪われた” and THEN describes what the scroll adds. After that in both cases, it always says “の書”, which just means “scroll type”. The part in the “<>” brackets after all that is the important part. That will tell you what kind of equipment the scroll will work on.

Learn to recognize these strings of characters for fast identification:
の書- Literally means “Belonging to the Scroll”. To us, it means “Scroll Type”.
呪 われた – These four characters in the first part of the scroll name means it’s a cursed scroll. They are the ones that are dark blue and gray. To help you remember, 呪 kinda looks like one of the octoroks in Zelda… and they’re bad. So they’re cursed. D:
片 – “One-Handed” – Too me, it looks kind of like a guy lunging forward with an epee, a one-handed sword. Sort of.
両 – “Two-Handed” – Since it’s symmetrical, it has two mirrored sides and two is the number to remember. ![]()
鎧・ 上 – “Armor Top” – See the little stick coming out in the second character? It’s the character for “Up”, and it’s towards the top.
鎧・下 – “Armor Bottom” – Same little stick in the second character, only it’s for “Down” and it’s towards the bottom.
ジャ ンプ – “Jump” – Easiest one to recognize for me because it’s in romanji and the first character is what I call “the jumping butterfly”.
移動速度 – “Walking Speed”
攻撃 – “Attack”
魔力 – “Magic Attack”
体力 – “STR”
素早さ- “DEX”
知力 – “INT”
幸運 – “LUK”
THE LIST OF SCROLLS OSHT
The name of the scroll is directly beneath its English name and they’re arranged by type. Scrolls that are only available as cursed already have “呪われた” in front of the Japanese name, and there’s a note afterwards.
